Home-Based Business in Sutherland Shire

Sutherland Shire has 43,000 (approx) Home-Based Businesses (HBBs). Council has analysed official statistics such as the Australian Business Register, to get a firmer understanding of the number and business activity of home based businesses in Sutherland Shire.  Preliminary analysis and findings from community surveys conducted by council in recent years indicate that one in seven households operate some form of HBB.

The range of HBBs is surprisingly diverse, and includes all manner of professional services, personal services and services ancilliary to other businesses based in the retail, commercial and employment (industrial) zones.
